Recreational Programs

Recreational Gymnastics Classes are for Everyone! Increase flexibility, core strength and learn the fundamental skills of gymnastics at a fun pace. 

All participants are required to purchase an annual Gym BC Liability Insurance membership, and complete the insurance form prior to participating in the class. This insurance is good for all gymnastics centres in British Columbia. Insurance is valid from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022.

All Recreational Families are required to meet the minimum fundraising requirements for the session.  All proceeds from club fundraisers go toward equipment upgrades. *More details provided in each session.

Fall Recreational Programs

Programs Available for Toddlers, Children, Teens and Adults!

Fun, high-energy classes and designed to build fundamental gymnastics skills. Sign up today! Classes are pro-rated if the session has already started and space is still available.

Parkour (Beginner / Intermediate)

Off the ceiling, off the floor! These classes help teach movement in conjunction with self-regulation. Enjoy a “structured playtime” approach that incorporates conditioning into games and creative physical activities. Children learn level one trampoline skills and floor techniques including: jumping, landing, rolling, vaulting, climbing, and falling safely. 

Senior Parkour (Intermediate / Advanced)

Learn to jump with power to gain height! These classes will teach body awareness, coordination and build confidence. Athletes will start to develop movements ranging from twists, spins, and flips that create an aesthetically pleasing way of moving. Techniques including: jumping, landing, rolling, vaulting, climbing, and falling safely. 

CanGym

Ages 5 to 12 

CANGYM: Participants will be placed in groups according to their skill level. 

CanGym Levels

Levels 1, 2 & 3 (No Experience Necessary) Introduction to basic gymnastics skills and fundamental movement patterns. Class time is spent on static and dynamic body positions, landings, hangs, swings, locomotions, rotations, springs and object manipulation.  Participants will be exposed to all apparatus in circuit based rotations. Classes are co-ed.

Levels 4 & 5: This intermediate gymnastics class will be spent on all apparatus and skills include: dive rolls, hand stands, cartwheels, round offs, pullovers and inverted skills. Classes are co-ed. Requires completion of CanGym Level 3. 

Levels 6 & 7: This intermediate gymnastics class will be spent on all apparatus and skills include: front handspring vaults, under swings, glide and long swings, and tumbling skills. Classes are co-ed. Requires completion of CanGym Level 5. 

 

Big Bear, Little Bear

Ages: 1.5 to 4 years with a parent

Big Bear, Little Bear classes are led by a coach and are designed for a parent and his/her walking toddler.  This class is for the very young beginners to climb on equipment, have fun, and play in a safe, instructed gymnastics environment. Join your coach and enjoy 45 minutes of gymnastics and movement with your Little Bear. Classes are co-ed.

Active Start

Ages: 3 to 5 years  

Active Start classes are for independent children (children without their parents), who are ready to learn the basic skills of gymnastics. These classes are beginner level classes and designed for children to explore movement in a fun environment.  Active Start children will follow along with a coach for 45 minutes of fundamental movement skills! Classes are co-ed.

CANJUMP

Ages: 5 to 12

Develop your skills in trampoline and tumbling. Each level teaches more advanced skills. CanJump develops flexibility, courage, strength, technique and landings in a safe environment.
