Recreational Programs

Recreational Gymnastics Classes are for Everyone! Increase flexibility, core strength and learn the fundamental skills of gymnastics at a fun pace. 

All participants are required to purchase an annual Gym BC Liability Insurance membership prior to participating in the class. This insurance is good for all gymnastics centres in British Columbia. Insurance is valid from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024.

All Recreational Families are required to meet the minimum fundraising requirements for the session.  All proceeds from club fundraisers go toward equipment upgrades. *More details provided in each session.

Fun, high-energy classes and designed to build fundamental gymnastics skills. Sign up today! Classes are pro-rated if the session has already started and space is still available.


BIG BEAR, LITTLE BEAR

Ages: 1-4 years with an adult

Big Bear, Little Bear classes are for walking toddlers (Little Bears) with a responsible adult (Big Bear). This program is structured and includes floor, bar, and tumble track circuits and free time at the end.  Children develop fundamental movement skills with the support of the coaches and their Big Bear! These classes are beginner level classes and designed for children to explore movement in a fun environment.  Classes are 45 minutes. Classes are co-ed.

Active Start

Ages: 3 to 5 years  

Active Start classes are for independent children (children without their parents), who are ready to learn the basic skills of gymnastics. These classes are beginner level classes and designed for children to explore movement in a fun environment.  Active Start children will follow along with a coach for 45 minutes of fundamental movement skills! Classes are co-ed.

KinderGym

Ages: 5 to 7 years 

Introduction to basic gymnastics skills and fundamental movement patterns. Class time is spent on static and dynamic body positions, landings, hangs, swings, locomotions, rotations, springs and object manipulation.  Participants will be exposed to all apparatus in circuit based rotations. Classes are co-ed.

Girls GymStars

Ages: 8 to 12 years  

This intermediate gymnastics class will be spent on all apparatus’. Progressive skills stations will allow athletes to experience challenges and success, which helps foster self-confidence. Athletes will work on developing skills including:  dive-rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs and pullovers.

Junior Parkour

Ages: 6 to 10 years  

Off the ceiling, off the floor! These classes help teach movement in conjunction with self-regulation. Enjoy a “structured playtime” approach that incorporates conditioning into games and creative physical activities. Children learn level one trampoline skills and floor techniques including: jumping, landing, rolling, vaulting, climbing, and falling safely.

Senior Parkour

Ages: 11 to 18 years  

Learn to jump with power to gain height! These classes will teach body awareness, coordination and build confidence. Athletes will start to develop movements ranging from twists, spins, and flips that create an aesthetically pleasing way of moving. Techniques including: jumping, landing, rolling, vaulting, climbing, and falling safely.

Tiny Tumbler Drop In Program

Ages: Walking Infants to 5 years (with a reponsible adult)

Explore the gym with your Tiny Tumbler! This unstructured program allows adults and toddlers an opportunity to use equipment and explore the gymnastics club safely. Coaches will be on hand to provide guidance as required. The Tiny Tumblers Drop In program is extremely popular!
